Anna’s first novel, first released on January 23, 2012, came about because of her being unable to find vampire novels that 1. wasn’t a romance and 2. where the vampire wasn’t looking to be “saved” from their immortal, bloodsucking condition.
Deciding that she couldn’t be the only person seeking such reading material, she sat down and wrote Siofra (shee-fruh), which tells the tale of the vampire Siofra O’Se, turned by accident in mid-1600’s Ireland. From the back cover: “In 1600’s Ireland, young Siofra is torn from her poor family to pay off a debt. She then finds herself working as a servant for a succession of nobles.
When she is attacked by a monster in the night and is accidentally turned, Siofra suddenly discovers she has to learn to how to be a vampire on her own, even though she has no idea what she has become.
For Siofra, life was a series of losses, and she grew hard while she was alive. As a vampire, this makes her comfortable in her own skin and she’s not squeamish about what she has to do to survive.

Anna Rose is an author of Urban Fantasy and Young Adult Fantasy, best known for their works under the Sumaire Press imprint (one of Converted Books’ imprints). Their first novel, SIOFRA, was published in 2012, followed by FIACH FOLA and DROCH FOLA, with the short story FEASTA FOLA included in the series. Although part of a series, FEASTA FOLA can be read independently.
One of their notable characters is Trevor the Demon, who enjoys cooking in Hell’s Kitchen. Currently, Anna is focusing on their series THE DEVIL’S IN THE DETAILS, which follows Professor Hector Rhoades and his unlikely friendship with the Devil, Luci Inferi. Throughout the series, Hector discovers the dangers of preconceptions and learns that demons are not necessarily to be feared. The first novel, LUCI: RHOADES TO HELL (now available in hardcover, softcover, and audiobook formats across multiple platforms), will be followed by LUCI: RHOADES TO RECOVERY and then LUCI: RHOADES TO REDEMPTION. The series is centered on preconceptions, love, loss, grief, and healing.
Amongst their short stories is TECH SUPPORT: An Infernal Tale, a short humorous horror piece, which tells the story of what happens when Hell’s printer goes down. It is currently available in both ebook and audiobook formats across multiple platforms.
Anna Rose lives in New Hampshire, where they continue to write and expand their literary works. Their writing style is unique and captivating, with an emphasis on creating multidimensional characters that readers can connect with on a personal level. Their passion for storytelling and their ability to immerse readers in imaginative worlds have earned them a dedicated fanbase.
Anna is also currently working on the TALES OF THE DRAGONGUARD series, which starts with AYA’S DRAGON and continues with SARA’S FIRE. Their Patreon page provides a unique first-look opportunity for their subscribers to view many of their current works in progress in a raw, chapter-by-chapter serialized format.

Converted Books is open to most genres, including (believe it or not) poetry.
For now, as you can see, we’re still in the building phase for the site, but eventually we will be accepting submissions. The submission guideline page will appear when we are ready for that phase of things. Upon reading those submission guidelines, if you feel we’re the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re a small publishing house, so we cannot afford to give advances (much as we wish we could), but we also want to do what’s right for the authors who choose to come here. At this point the plan is to be more of a hybrid publisher, offering consultation services, editing, and cover services for a reasonable fee.
As the site’s a New Thing, it’s currently in the processing of being properly grown, which includes pruning bits that whilst they might seem good at the start, are discovered to cause issues, so they are carefully pruned away to allow things to grow as they should.
Sort of website bonsai, as it were.
Anyhow, I really appreciate your patience as the site progresses from its current bleeding raw state to something with just the right number of boughs, branches, and leaves.
The only pity here is there will be no giant pile of dead leaves into which we all might jump.
